The Chandigarh arrangement repeats the weight of the table in solid walnut. Broad arms form a horizontal line around the tabletop; the angled legs add a second rhythm below. The open cane keeps the backs from becoming a solid wall of wood.
Choose this direction when you want the dining area to hold its own against a large window or an open doorway. Let the wood tones sit alongside one another. They need a compatible warmth, not an exact color match.

Look from the doorway, too
A chair has a front, a back and a side. In an open dining room, you live with all three. From the window, the Cesca frames let the table read as one long shape. Keep the tabletop simple while making this decision. A low bowl, a teapot and room for plates are enough here. Large centerpieces would hide the very backs and frames you are trying to compare.
