About Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926–1998) was the Danish designer who pushed mid-century modernism into pop colour and pure geometry. After training as an architect in Copenhagen, he worked under Arne Jacobsen — at the time the leading figure of Danish modernism — before opening his own studio in 1955. His most famous piece, the Panton Chair (developed 1959–1968), was the first single-form chair injection-moulded from plastic, and remains a landmark of industrial design.
The FlowerPot followed in 1968, conceived as a tribute to the optimistic spirit of the late 1960s flower-power movement. Originally produced by Louis Poulsen and today by &tradition, its hemisphere-on-hemisphere silhouette has stayed in production for nearly six decades — a quiet, geometric counterpoint to Panton's more flamboyant work.

- Shade and base: spun metal with a powder-coated finish in seven matte colours, plus a mirror-polished chrome option that catches the room around it.
- Form: a 7.1" upper hemisphere set above a smaller 3.94" hemisphere — the upper shade fully obscures the bulb so only diffused, glare-free light escapes downward.
- Light source: a built-in 7W LED module (800 lumens) with adjustable colour temperature, sealed inside the shade for a clean, bulb-free silhouette.

Care & Assembly
No assembly required — the lamp ships fully built and partially charged. Plug in the included USB cable for a few hours before first use to top up the battery.
Wipe the powder-coated or chrome surface with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; for fingerprints, use a barely-damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can dull the finish. To keep the lithium battery healthy over the long term, recharge it every couple of months even if you're not using the lamp, and store it indoors at room temperature — avoid leaving it fully drained or in freezing conditions for long stretches.

How long does the battery last on a single charge?
Approximately 8–12 hours, depending on the brightness setting. At the lowest dim level you'll get closer to 12 hours of ambient light; at full 800-lumen output, expect around 8. A full recharge via the included USB cable takes roughly 3–4 hours.
Can I use the FlowerPot VP3 outdoors?
The VP3 is designed for indoor use — covered patios, dinner tables, or shelves. It isn't rated for rain or direct exposure to moisture, so we'd avoid uncovered outdoor settings. The portable battery does make it easy to carry from the dining table out to a sheltered porch for an evening.
Is the bulb replaceable?
No — the 7W LED module is integrated into the shade to preserve Panton's clean, bulb-free silhouette. Modern LEDs typically last 20,000+ hours of normal use, so the light source is designed to outlive most furnishings in your home.
How does the touch dimmer work?
Tap the top of the shade once to switch the lamp on, again to switch it off. Press and hold to ramp brightness smoothly up or down through the full stepless dimming range. A separate tap pattern cycles through warm, neutral, and cool colour temperatures.
Can I order matching colours for multiple rooms?
Yes. All eight colours — Chrome, Pure White, Pure Black, Grass Green, Ruby Red, Sky Blue, Pink, and Yellow — are stocked individually, so you can mix a set or repeat the same finish across bedside tables, desks, and dining areas.
